The review is written in the first 5 minutes. Everything after just confirms the first impression.
1. Smell
Not perfume, not air freshener — clean air. Freshly washed linens, a window opened an hour before arrival.
2. Temperature
Summer with no AC on — bad start. Turn on AC/heating an hour before check-in.
3. Floor
Guests look down as they enter. Clean floors, no hair, no stains. Especially the bathroom — grout must be spotless.
4. Bed
Made bed with tight sheets, decorative pillows. Hotel standard — that's what they pay for.
5. Bathroom
Clean towels. Soap, shampoo — not half-used bottles from the last guest. New. Sealed.
6. WiFi
"What's the WiFi?" is the FIRST question. Put the password somewhere visible.
7. Kitchen
Clean sink, clean stovetop. Basic supplies: oil, salt, pepper, coffee, sugar. Costs €5, worth a review.
8. Windows
Clean windows = more light = space looks bigger. Dirty windows? Guest thinks "what else don't they clean?"
9. Details
Fresh flowers, welcome fruit, a handwritten note with the guest's name. The difference between 4 and 5 stars.
10. Sound
Does the faucet drip? Do the doors creak? The guest hears it at night and writes about it.
